What exactly do we do?

We are specialized in webshops and loyalty shops but also create general web applications, competitions and corporate websites. In fact, there is probably nothing we cannot do when asked. Seriously, we really can do everything.

We look at every aspect of the process with you, developing PHP-based sites and applications supported by jQuery.
But that doesn’t mean we stop at development. (Hell, no!). We make sure every single website looks amazing in every single browser. Except IE6. Unless you explicitly ask for it… nicely!

Do you guys also do Flash?

As an agency that supports Mac (yeah, we all have an iPhone or iPad), we’re not really fond of Flash. Sure, it may look cool in some cases and we know our customers love that too. But Flash doesn’t look so flashy on an iPad.

As a web development agency, we are constantly striving to follow the latest evolutions in our business, which include new technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3. We prefer to focus on the technologies we believe will matter most in the future. But of course, it’s in our nature to be flexible. So just ask and we’ll deliver.

Wanted: PHP Developer

Uni-t is a well-balanced team with a broad interest in ‘all things online’. Together with parent company Gemaco International and communications agency CAT, we provide clients such as Bridgestone, Mercedes-Benz, Thomas Cook, Bloso, Callebaut, Niko, bpost and Akzo Nobel with the right online solution.

We mainly use the lightweight Codeigniter framework, which allows us to quickly set up working prototypes and build solid solutions for our clients and partners within the Gemaco Group. One of these solutions are webshops designed to distribute high-quality advertising gifts and promotional items. Some shops are custom developed, others are integrated within the Magento eCommerce platform.

We are looking for an enthusiastic developer, hungry to help develop and to learn about the end-to-end technology requirements of these fast growing e-commerce businesses.

Your profile

• You respect deadlines
• You love learning new things
• You take a look at things from a commercial perspective
• You work in a structured way and keep an eye on details
• You have some experience with Codeigniter or other PHP frameworks
• You have knowledge of HTML, CSS & Javascript (jQuery or other)
• Experience in a professional web development environment (freelance / agency) is a plus
• Beneficial skills: interest in or experience with e-commerce systems and Magento e-commerce web solutions
